When trust is put onto us, we make sure not to disappoint by providing our clients with wildlife removal services that are sure to satisfy them. With over ten years of experience working with animal control, we have been voted as the #1 wildlife control company in the city for three years in a row. One thing we continue to promote at our company is the use of humane methods to exclude animals from a property. We aim to keep our exclusion process safe for both the animals that are removed and the people within the property involved. A part of the removal service is a damage repair and area cleanup to ensure that the property is restored to the way it had been before the animals had entered. This applies for critters that have been staying both inside the building and outside like in a lawn or so. Our team starts off the exclusion with a 32-point inspection process to identify every entrance in the building. When the removal has been conducted, they will also be locating every entry point which they will seal up completely to prevent other wildlife in the area from making their way inside the property again.

What Are the Mating Habits of Bats?
So, you have been able to take out a few bats that have been swarming around your home, but the problem seems to be continuously growing. More and more you are finding that bats are coming around your house, and you are feeling like it is a losing battle from the start. They are simply breathing too fast for you, is what you have concluded. This may have you wondering what are the mating habits of bats?
The Female Bat
The female bat will not begin ovulating or allow for mating to begin until an instinct inside of her will let her know that her offspring have a good chance at survival. This means that she must know that there is enough food for herself and her children to be able to live off of. How she is able to determine this has not been discovered, but there is some type of God-given instinct that enables her to know when the right time has come. In cool climates, the mother will only have babies during the summer. This is because it is sufficiently warm during these times giving the baby the best chance of survival. However, that is not true in warm weather areas. In areas where it is warm year round, a female bat can have babies in this way, climate plays no role at all.
The Mating Process
For most bats, they will not begin mating until they are at least 14 months old. Some may not have their first mating experience for up to 36 months after they are born. It is all related to the level of maturity the bat has attained. The majority of the time, mating occurs during the night. The mail will begin biting on the neck of the female, which usually occurs while she is sleeping. This biting will cause her to awaken, which is a cue that copulation can begin. If the male bat decides to initiate copulation during the daytime, he will not bite on her neck. Instead he will rub his head against the female. This is her cue to begin the mating process. Like some other mammals, female bats may copulate with several different males while they are ovulating. For most mammals, this is to ensure that the female has the most optimal opportunity to become impregnated, but that is not true in bats. The reason that she has chosen to copulate with several males is to prevent her from becoming pregnant. This is a sign that she is not ready to settle down or does not feel mature enough to have a baby. Just because copulation has occurred, the mating process is not over. If the conditions were not optimal for the egg to be fertilized, the female can actually store the sperm and a special gland that can then be drawn out to fertilize the egg when the conditions are better. Otherwise she can delay the implanting of the egg in her uterus until a later date. It's an extremely interesting mating ritual and process for fertilization that bats undergo.
